About Amanecer Senior Care

Nancy Vélez began her senior care journey in 2014 in North Carolina, inspired by a pivotal moment in her life when her son started first grade. As a single mother, she discovered a deep passion for supporting seniors by providing companionship, building meaningful connections, and offering reassurance during special outings and medical appointments while helping families balance the demands of work and caregiving.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, along with personal experience caring long-distance for her senior mom and a senior family friend in Buffalo, Nancy understands the real-life challenges seniors and their families face every day.

She founded Amanecer Senior Care Consulting to provide guidance, support, and hope to families navigating aging and care decisions. Nancy is committed to treating every client not as a case, but as a valued individual who deserves dignity, compassion, and respect.
